If you are new to Kashi, it is recommended to start off with a small amount on a cheaper chain (Polygon, AVAX, Fantom etc.) so you can try out the process and make some mistakes initially. In this article, we will use Kashi on Polygon.

Step 1: Head over to https://app.sushi.com/kashi.

To access it from Sushi’s UI, click on the ‘Kashi’ → ‘Lend’ buttons.

Step 2: Locate the pair with the asset you want to lend, as well as the collateral you trust.

In this example, we will lend out our WMATIC with USDC being the collateral

<aside> ⚠️ The collateral selection is important. If you select a collateral that could potentially drop in price really fast, liquidation bots may not have the time to liquidate borrowers before their collateral value is under their loan value, resulting in a part of your funds being loss. If you are new to DeFi, select a collateral with higher market share (~top 50 marketcap).

Step 3: Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll be redirected to a new interface. ****Navigate to the ‘Deposit’ tab.

Choose where you want to deposit your funds from - Your ‘Wallet’ or ‘Bentobox’. Input the amount of asset you want to lend and click the ‘Deposit’ → ‘Confirm Deposit’ buttons to execute the transaction. If it’s your first time using Kashi or Bentobox, you’ll have to ’Approve’ it first.

Congratulations! You’ve lent out your funds on Kashi. Check your wallet balance using the relevant block explorer to confirm that you have received some KMP tokens. These tokens represent IOUs for your underlying liquidity lent. You’ll need them to redeem your tokens.

To withdraw your funds, first execute Steps 1 & 2 as shown above.

Step 3: Once you’ve made your selection, you’ll be redirected to a new interface. ****Navigate to the ‘Withdraw’ tab.

Choose where you want to withdraw your funds to - Your ‘Wallet’ or ‘Bentobox’. Enter the amount you would like to withdraw or click the ‘Max’ button to withdraw everything. Then click the ‘Withdraw’ → ‘Confirm Withdraw’ buttons to execute the transaction.
